The IEC promotes, in partnership with the IEC-ALUMNI Association , scientific internships for high school students in scientific research institutes. The internships last for three days, during the school holidays, and take place at the universities of Aveiro and Coimbra and at Biocant, in Cantanhede. Internships provide an opportunity for students to get in close contact with the academic environment and the reality of modern national scientific research.
