The IEC-ALUMNI Association, formed in 2016, brings together former and current students, teachers and researchers who have been participating in IEC activities.

The IEC-ALUMNI Association aims to promote active education and citizenship, as common goods essential to the formation and well-being of citizens, and has the following ethical and moral values and principles:
a) Intellectual integrity;
b) Magnanimity and tolerance;
c) Honesty;
d) Solidarity;
e) The sense of altruism;
f) Volunteerism in the promotion of Education and Citizenship in the community.

For the pursuit of its activities, the IEC-ALUMNI Association is responsible for:
a) Promote cultural and educational or other events for the purpose of its objective;
b) Bringing students and teachers closer to real life in higher education institutions, companies, other bodies outside schools and society in general;
c) Build and implement a regional educational project that helps students in schools and higher education to have better use in schools and not to give up studying;
d) Create scholarships for students;
e) Dialogue with the students' parents about the value of education in modern society;
f) Collaborate with schools, IEC and research institutes in the organization of courses and other events in schools on subjects of their knowledge that enrich schools;

g) Create links with companies in the community of the Bairrada Region, and boost this community towards a creative, solidary life and linked to knowledge centers;

h) To recruit, for its activities, citizens who have distinguished themselves in the various branches of industrial, commercial, academic, or other activities, and who serve as "role models" for new generations;
i) Take any other initiatives to achieve the objectives of the Association;
j) Ensure the continuity and success of the IEC-ALUMNI Association, raising new members and funds for its activities.
